I don't think all supercharged Montes came with chrome wheels. I looked at an 05 SS that had that berry metallic color and it had the painted 17 rims, so the wheels could be correct. I'd check the carfax. Unfortunatly the carfax just lists that it has a record of an accident and not the severity of the accident. My 05 got hit in a parking lot, but no frame damage and it's going to show up on my cars carfax. The front ground effect might have just gotten scraped, tabs broken off and the dealership maybe didn't want to pay the price to replace or fix that piece. They took the time to have the bumper painted to look like the ground effect.

sence that piece is missing when u go & look at the car look at the front bumper there should be slots along the top of the silver if there isnt any than this car has deff been in an accident, theres about 10 slots i believe about 2 or 3" long in the grove of the body line which on this car is where the silver ends so deff check that out be an easy way to tell if its been in an accident

Oh ya I forgot about the slits. The new replacement bumpers from GM don't have the slits - they have to be cut - that's what they did to my car when I got my bumper replaced from the accident. Luckily my front ground effect wasn't damaged.

I just looked in the '04 sales brochure. It appears that at least in '04, ONLY the Intimidator SS had "exclusive" chrome 17" wheels. All the supercharged SS wheels were 17". All others were 16". So I guess I was wrong. they ARE the correct wheels, IF they are 17's.

I think they are - my 03 16 inch rims have a red bowtie and this one has the gray bowtie like the centers on my 05 SS wheels.

yeah the replacements also have the slots but most shops buy the standard bumper & cut them in b/c i believe its $900 more for the bumper with the slits in it

The brochure says the wheels center caps vary in color. If the wheels are 17's, they are stock.

GO LOOK AT THAT CAR!!!!!!

It's very possible that the front clip was just hit from driveways and such, and the original owner just took it off and had it painted so it didn't hit all the time. The price for that car and engine combo is incredible.

Take it for a spin, check fluids, feel the transmission, etc. Don't just look at the pictures.

If it's small things that need to be fixed, an 04 with the S/C is worth fixing haha

This!

I'd be tripping over myself to get out the door if I found a local S/C 04 at that kind of price.
