Hey, That's a nice car for $ 400.00 !! Try to buy something as good as
that for 400. in a foriegn car ! Right! Yeah... my neighbor thinks that
has something better than anyone else around. I'm the only
one who has stood up to him. My wife says I'm acting like a cave man &
told her it's "A guy thing & to butt-out" I explained that I'm not willing
to be dominated & put my tail between my legs like a wet puppy dog!
Guys can either dominate (lead) or be dominated (follow). Maybe he
doesn't like me or the MOnte...at least he will give us respect!

Anyway... the guy is a swingin' Dou**e Bag. Arogance & Stupidity is a Volitile mix... I try just avoid him and his c**p!

thanks for the compliment, man! i will admit that im into my monte for about $700 to get it on the road, but thats still less than a civic, which people seem to think are a step below a bently, and should be priced accordingly... plus, there are the owners, who seem to have the attitude of a bently owner, haha. i think the biggest discrase to hondas is when i was riding with a buddie in his $500 '81 dodge d-100, slant-six / 4 speed, and a civic tried to pass us, but my buddie downshifted and blew right past the sad little rice honda in this ugly black pickup, that was a sad day for hondas... oh, wait thats everyday, haha.

i can relate to the bad neighbor gig, my dad is an old car nut as am i, and sometimes we have people " report" us to the township for having unregistered vehicles on the property, but scince my dad has fixed about half of the township employees vehicles, the fines tend to go away, lol.

I have seen at least 3 5th Gens for under $500 bucks here in OK. Makes me want to get a warehouse and start buying them and stripping the bad ones and see about fixing the good ones. If not, there will be no more parts left for the 5th Gen MC.

Chris,

I wouldn't ever spend over $3000 for a Z34 with 1xx,xxx miles. Unless it was already modded.

This is sad. I didn't think the 5th Gen. Monte's like this got 18 mpg or less
combined. I thought my '98 was rated at 21 in town & 29 Highway...
I've seen alot of cars turned in that get better than 18 mpg combined.

I have an '89 sidekick that would like to turn in to cash 4 clunkers &
get a new Cobalt or something...

I'm a GM and chevy guy, down to the bone. I live and die by the bowtie. But I will always buy an American car before I buy some plastic 4 cylinder imported car.

If I'm going to live in this country, I'm going to buy what we produce and support our economy.

I am totally with you on this. As I told the "Ridgeline guy" ... Yes,
they may be assembled in the USA -- but, the money still goes back
to Japan. Japan imposses Tariffs as high as 27.2% on any American
parts that go over there. Why don't we do the same?

???
