My '98 is NO CLUNKER!

Probably, and all the Toyota trucks are made here in the USA actually. The Tacoma, Tundra, and Saquia SUV all made in the USA. Tacoma's are made at the Nummi plant half hours from my house, and Tundra/ SUV made in Texas...

I agree completely.

2 x 4's in my Trunk!
My Neighbor came over last night (He Has a Black '06 Honda Ridgeline) told me I should do the "Cash 4 Clunkers" with my 96,000 mile Black '98 Monte & buy a new Honda Ridgeline! I said "Dream on buddy! My Monte get 31
mpg & your Ridgeline only get 20 mpg & besides anyone who likes to DRIVE
a Black Ridgline must be from San Fran Cisco..." +
It took a while for him to get it as he is about as smart as a box of Hot
rocks! Anyway, he went back home grumbling.
People with Hondas have a real Altitude!

folded down) The moron next door w/the lil' Honda Ridgeline couldn't believe I got those in there and had the trunk down. He said he could get
them in his Truck ( nodda real truck! ) but he would have to leave the tail
gate down! For one thing that is not a real truck. Real trucks have a separate bed from the cab. That's an Honda Odessy with a different
body. That's all it is.
He hates my Monte Carlo even more now. My wife says he Jealous.
Ha- Ha! 2 funny!

Except for the whole...Tacoma recall issue.
The whole thing will rust right off the frame and seperate very very badly...
Meanwhile when the Monte gets recalled for a fire that never happened... we get all the bad vibes!

The Long Haul...
10+ years - buy American. If you don't know how to work on cars, buy
a Foreign one & MAKE SURE you trade every 3-4 years cause they will
get real costly $$$.

My wife's 1990 buick lasaber with only 91,000 does NOT fit the bill to be a clunker. I find this hard to believe, maybe TEN years ago the car was getting 19 miles per gal. but not now. City driving is about 16 & highway around 23. But as we know the GOVERMENT know's everything about cars, go by the numbers. But us car guy's & gal's know as cars get older motors get worn down a little thus giving us less HP and even lesser MPG.

When you get down to it is all about the Dollar. They want you to go out
and buy a new car so they can Tax you! Mealwhile some good cars are
gonna get crushed. I already see more cars on the road from the '70's
than I do '80s or early '90's cars...
There is gonna be a big segment of history lost here as everyone wants
to crush it. I have a neighbor that wants to get rid of a '96 Mustang GT
w/200,000 + miles on it. I think he may turn it in for Cash 4 Clunkers!
???
Granted...I'm not a Ford guy, but still that is sad.
