My '98 is NO CLUNKER!
My problem is that the Honda people (like my neighbor w/the black Ridgeline.) feel complelled to put down my Chevrolets. I also have a
'70 C-10 with an L-48. He hates that truck w/a passion as everyone
that comes to his house sees it in my driveway asks about it. He dosen't have a clue as he doesn't work on his own stuff. I only pay $ 26.00 for a lifetime rebuilt starter, when he paid $ 324.00 & then paid a friend to put it in for him! The C-10 will still be here after the ridgeline has been crushed & made into a Daihatsu ! HA!
I see the "cash for clunkers" as an attempt by the new administration to spur up the economy, but they're doing it wrong. I'm going to leave it at that as to not spur up a political hurricane.
When the little civic/ugly ricers try and brag about it just ask to hit up the local dragstrip, that usually shuts them up.
Heres a diagram for the idiots

My mom mentioned me getting $$$$ for my Dodges. She said I could use the money to buy a car. I asked if she was making the payments cause I sure can't afford to. And those #$%^*& idiots in Washington sure ain't getting my Montes OR......... my '57s.
Not sure where my mother thinks this cash for replacing both of my Dodges will net me a car any better then either one of them? They both still get decent gas mileage. My white '94 ES just turned 163k miles the other day.
want to hear some thing funny yesterday my friends and i found two hondas being given away. because they never ran right acording to the owners of them they have montys and the navigator by lincoln. so we asked them if we could have them for some $$ if we can get money for cloncers and we took it to a honda dealer. the dealer guys said oh these are great cars why dont you drive them we said there cluncers wheres our cash for them and we got escorded out by the police them saying we were making a seen as in making people leave. both hondas we had to see if they were going to take them are 98 models and we used them for trail cars only thing good for a honda off roada and burn great to have a bon fire. dont worrie we gave them back to see what the dealer said.
Yea, I agree honda owners love to think they have the best cars, and think American SUCK, they can SUCK it IMO! Same goes for Toyota owners with this attitude! When people talk sh*t about Chevy, and American cars I feel like telling them to move their happy *** to Japan and F-off! Totally pisses me off...I always throw it in their face that my 89 Chevrolet truck has 230K orignal engine and tranny...they act like i'm lying and shut up....mmmhmm thats right, screw you is what I think..LOL
Wow so much anger since I have been gone. To each their own. I have owned and raced Hondas, Subarus, Mustangs, and multiple Firebirds. They all had their strengths and weakness. I would not trade my monte for a civic. When I lived in Vegas and we raced at the strip there were lots of fast Honda's and cool owners. The best I saw was a supra run a crx. The supra ran 9 seconds and the crx ran 9.5. Both way faster than my trans am. like i said to each their own.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against with those that don't act like they are better than everyone else, heck I have family that drive both brands. I just can't stand people that act like American stuff is crap, and the only way to go is Honda or Toyota....
Tell the Honda people who think the American stuff is junk that Honda makes parts for their cars in Anna, and Marysville, Ohio.
Okay the actually production of the cars still takes place in Japan. The people who run Honda and Toyota won't allow that to be done in the U.S. of A.
But they still manufacture parts for the cars (such as the engines) in Ohio.
And isn't there a big Toyota plant in Tennesse?
