General Monte Carlo Talk Talk about the Monte Carlo. Does not have to be your Monte. Can include pics and games.

Most of you probably already know.

Question Most of you probably already know.

I am not sure where to post this, so here goes.

(IF a mod wants to move this, don't hesitate)

So recently I purchased a 01 Monte Carlo SS with all the options/leather black on black etc. Everything is in great condition, aside the alarm (that I wasn't aware it had when I bought it) not triggering on the doors. I really like the car, and would like to improve upon it when as my cashflow comes in.

As for my question,
It's fall here in Ohio and I had my sunroof open. Somehow a leaf got crushed behind my sunroof when I closed it and it landed in the overhead light behind the sunroof (one of the ones that comes on when you open the doors). I'm wondering if I can just pry it out, like I can on my Malibu- or if there's some precautions I should take before removing it. I'm not exactly sure how and I don't want to mess it up. If I leave the crushed leaf in there I'm pretty sure that the overhead light might spark a fire and burn up my new ride. :/

Thanks for help, sorry if this question seems obvious (I'm just trying to be careful about it).

Welcome East.

Not really sure what the answer is, but since its Friday and the weekend, some of the regulars wont be on like during the wek. So be a little patient and i am sure someone will answer you soon.

Mike, chibiblacksheep, did a write up on changing the dome light, should be the same procedure without replacing the bulb.

Yeah I went down to the DG and bought a repair kit for 2 bucks and got it out... that stuff was dry- really dry. Like better than paper for kindling. Thanks again.
