Monte Carlo Dilemma
I'm a new member here. I already own a beautiful 2002 Dale Earnhardt Edition MCSS. I just picked up a second this past weekend for the last few parts I needed to finish mine. I was told the car sat for 2 years untouched and wouldn't run. The original plan was to take my few parts, strip the interior, and scrap the rust rusted out hull. Well...Just for fun when I got it home I tried to fired up. Even with 2 year old gas It started! Now here's my dilemma. It's a running car with a great interior, but the body and underside are completely rusted out. Do I sell it whole, or part out and scrap it. I just hate the idea of sending a fairly rare car to it's demise. I'm open to any advice.
If the body / rust is as bad as you say, it's already met its demise. Virtually no one fixes rusted out W bodies as the end value just isn't there like it is with 60s muscle cars. Id just proceed with your original plan if it were me.
Also if its rusted really badly, you need to consider how safe or unsafe the car might be that you would be passing onto someone else. Ive seen shocks break thru into the trunk because the towers were rusted so badly.

If the car is rusted out as bad as you say, selling it is just hurting the next person to get the car. You are best off parting it out and then having the chassis sent to the crusher.
If you are parting it out..... And the interior is as good as you say, I might be interested to make a deal on the black/gray door panels. Detailed pics of them off the car would be required.
