Hello all,
I found the Monte group in search of information on Signature Edition Dale Earnhardt Monte Carlo SS.
I'm trying to obtain information on value of vehicle being that I'm looking to sell. Are these cars typically holding higher value than a standard Monte being the signature series or are they treated as the norm??
This one is 2788 out of 3000 made.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Thanks for joining the forum..
According to GM... Monte Carlo's will never be a collector car..
We of course...
Are out to change that naturally...hehehehe
The value is not only in the Model you own... But the documentation as well.. Depends on whos more appreciative of the Dale Sr. with the CA...
According to a dealership..They will only give you base model price....
I'm sure others will chime in with more advice!
Thanks for joining the MCf Family!
Have you considered keeping it?
why are you selling it?

Selling as I do not have the time, resources to rebuild. Dale has a some rust on the rear qtr panels and is typical in with these cars especially in north, north east area of US. I'm also selling as I already have two cars and just don't want another car to insure or park in my driveway. May end up keeping it for my daughter but its a big car for a 16 year old. She likes the stereo but says she would like something smaller. Fuel economy is just not there either.

As far as what I see on craigslist around my area the cars seem to sell more if they have the supercharger but as far as just the high sport edition it seems they have around the same as a normal ss would. I dont know if that is everywhere but from what I see on craigslist around my area. As far as gas mileage if you keep your foot out of the gas you will get pretty good gas mileage. My first car was a 1998 lumina and that was pretty big and I drove fine in it. Plus at least if she got into a wreck with it, it would be safer than a smaller car since there is a lot of car there.
