The 3.1 produces something like 160HP or less, to the crank when it's bare stock, the 3.8 produces 200HP to the crank bare stock. Even if you slap a supercharger on the 3.1 you'll be keeping with N/A 3800's at best, who wants that? a 3800 S/C is the best way to go with that much money. Of course once my Monte Carlo project is finished, I'll start saving up for a new Camaro next, still have to own at least 1 V8 in my life. xD

He wants to spend money to modify the 3.1, that's just wasted money if he can do a 3.8 swap :P

Beautiful girl by the way. But there are FAR more possibilities with a S/C 3.8 than a S/C 3.1. You can get WELL over 300HP with a 3.8 S/C, I don't know if that's possible with the 3.1.

That's true, but we're posting answers on this thread for a guy who has $2,000 to spend. The best bang for the buck is probably to do the 3.8 S/C swap.

hey guys thanks for all of the input i really appreciate it. i would like to know what all i will have to buy and things i will have to do for the 3.8L S/C swap???? oh and does anyone know where i can get that funny grill piece for this car. The one i have is all cracked up and i would really like a new one. And the carpet of the rear deck and doors. Is there something i can substitue for that crappy stuff?? and if there isn't where can i get all of that stuff from?? i feel funny because i am so new to this car, so i am gonna ask a-lot of questions. I do know a lot about cars though in general.
