Default Buying couple things needs input

Well i sold some things i didnt need anymore and now i have some extra money. I was going to buy a downpipe with CAT on it and a new pcm. Would this be a good choice? Would i be allowed to buy a cold air intake down the road without problems with the PCM

i would buy the DP, and the CAI (or build your own FWI), then get the PCM

ya i was goin to get the 3" bolt on with cat then just maybe make my own CAI since i already have one of those autozone spectre filters. But is that down pipe for the 200 bucks?

Also with the home made CAI i have to buy the other small breather like it says or can i just keep my stock intake tube so i dont have to buy the breather and just hook up another tube onto the stock tube

Take your money to find out what's wrong with your coolant system :P

and always Mod first PCM later.

Does you windshield fog up? If it does, then its your heater core. The passenger side footwell might be wet, it might not. I know that there is a tube running from the inside to the outsde right next to your downpipe. It for A/C condensation. Your heater core might be leaking and thats where ithe water is going. Thats also why you smell coolant from the vents.

If suddenly leaks stopped. check your coolant level. It might be going dry on you. NOT A GOOD THING!!

Mods first, then PCM, like everyone has already said...

Also mentioned already, but i'll say it again...GET YOUR COOLING SYSTEM FIXED ASAP. If your cooling system is not working properly, then you are at risk of ruining your entire engine, and therefore there is no need for Mods, because you will have a car that does not run....

well i have the overflow tank on my car its filled up to hot. And right now i cant find out how to take off the radiator cap it wont really budge. And when i turn the fan on the windshield doesnt fog .

I might try turnin my car on letting it sit and turn the vent on and see what happens after i let it run for awhile then turn the car off

Is your car a 3800? If so it has the seperate radiator cap (at least my moms Bonneville does). you have to push down and turn the cap at the same time, turn it until it kinda pops loose....

My Monte (not sure about yours) has a hose going to the radiator, and the cap to add coolant is on the engine...this one kinda locks when you tighten it...to get it off, I just have to really turn hard on it, and get the first few thread undone, and then it just spins off....
