I finally figured out what this site is missing..........................a forum for interior related topics.

 

I agree with 06MONTESS, I being an owner of a LS4 would like to see a forum for this new elite group!

hey people,
New to this forum, and I must say, there is a very nice connection between all the members, and that is very enjoyable to see, makes somebody like me, want to interact with all of you. I got an 06 LT3 blue Monte about a month ago, and love it. I got on here to see what sort of things there are to do to the Monte to make it more "mine". I came across this post on what can be done to make this site more appealing to other Monte owners and started thinking, where I do not have a solution or an answer, I have a suggestion that maybe one of you can build off of.
The main reason I believe that you have so many members but only 30-40 active members is that people like me, come on here to see what they can get out of the forum, ideas, suggestions, pictures, information and links to other sites, they then go away.
You have soooo many members because you make them sign up to view the information they want. How many of those "members" do you think periodically view this site? probably rare.
Well, I hope you can build off this, and this is only my.06 cents.

And thanks for putting up a site for Monte owners, and thanks for nobody making anybody feel stupid for asking any questions, or saying something stupid, ive seen it.. but nobody disrespects anybody for it, and that means alot when dealing with a forum.
Hopefully Ill be able to put in more of my opinions in the future, keep this site running like it is, and im sure I will.

P.S. Does anybody send out emails inviting the new members back for specific posts? (oh, damn, got my mind racing now!!!) ok ok ok....when a person signs up to be a member, can you put something in there that asks "what is your main purpose to view this forum?" something like that, that way when there is serious members, you all know what they are looking for, what they are interested in, and what to bait them with to get them back here and more interested in the forum. I understand this might be a full time job to get it started, but it just might bring in those that wouldnt mind the extra work every now and then.

im all for making the site a better place for us all to live in , But at the same time we do have some members that read alot and dont really talk much. I know i was one for a while i actually had 108 messeges in my box tonight and this is after one day. So i go threw a read those i wan tto keep up on and will interject when needed but other wise read and delet then messeges so i can move on to the others.

But thank you for all your sugestions and im sure the right folks here will move on them also.
