Default Lucky Me

This past friday I needed to start the '06 Monte. Keep in mind i'd had the battery charger on the thing all day long. I hit the key.............. the battery was dead.

This makes the 3 or 4 time the battery had went bad in the car.

Okay. I don't drive it a lot. But I do keep an automatic charger on the car constantly.

So friday I lifted the hood to make sure the charger was still connected to the battery like need be. Yep, it's fine. Checked to make sure the charger wasn't damaged in some manner? NOPE!

So monday I'm telling my dad the car was dead again. We go out in the barn, I hit the kep and it fires right up. What gives????

Well I at least know OnStar's backup battery is bad a 3rd time. They told me it was. Hope they cover the cost of replacement like the last 2 times?

For the amount of time you use the '06, I think you should just cancel the onstar and disconnect it.

I feel the same.

ONLY reason I've kept it. It's proof of the miles on the car.

Kind of expensive proof of mileage isn't it? I could see the point if you were keeping it as a collector's item or something.
Cancelling the onstar would save you some money. You could use that money to buy a big dog with a big gun for those people breaking into the barn. Just something to consider.

Can you explain this, how does it work.
I don't have Onstar activated.
(I mean explain how its proof of mileage, when people will go through all means to change the miles on cars in order to sell them.)
I am asking for knowledge sake.

Wow, really. Interesting, do you have to have an active account in order for them to hear you? haha. Now i AM paranoid.
