Look how rotted my Resontor was. I replaced with straight pipe

This is more along the lines of how I feel about it. But for $40, it's better than driving around with a hole in the exhaust.

some people like the way it sounds without the resonator. Some don't. When funds allow, I plan on changing the exhaust for a better sound.

Glad the original poster likes it with the resonator delete.

That's cool. I wasn't trying to berate you or anything. Just saying what its sounds like on the interstate from personal experience.

Cousin replaced his resignator with straight pipe cause it had a hole. Year later straight pipe got a hole in it.

I put 2.5" pipe in mine sounds good, no more noise in the cabin than stock, my res is still good, no rust or anything, so if someone wants a stock res id sell it lol

I wish this thread would have been created before I swap my rotted res out for a shop aftermarket one for $100. Which I can say its not bad at all. Had a little smoke from the tail pipes but now after a couple of days driven, no smoke and better running sounding monte... Can't complain!

Here's a photo of the old res...

Can one of you two guys measure the body and overall length of your stock resonators? I just want the measurements for reference and am too lazy to get under my car and measure mine. lol
