So i replaced my resonator that was rotted with a straight pipe today at a local shop for 40$. There is no sound difference at all.. So i was wondering if i get flowmaster or magnaflow mufflers will it change the sound?

My resonator looked just like that one when they replaced mine with straight pipe. $40 isn't a bad price. Much cheaper than buying a new resonator.

That heat shield on the resonator traps so much moisture.

Go run it down the road at 1900-2000rpm sustained. My monte also has the resonator deleted. Annoying as can be on the interstate.
