Geez Dave, how often you opening the trunk? lol [sm=joke.gif]
Now that you mention it, I think I grad it in the same spot you do. I suppose you could grab it from under the lip of the trunk lid, providing it pops up high enough to get your fingers under it.

Between my bowlingballs and Mia Joy'stoddler accesories, I can't live without opening my trunk 2 or 3 times a day.
I don't put anything on my leather seats.

RE: Keyless trunk owners question?
I find myself grabbing the same spot to open the trunk on my car. Like the bottom lip of the spoiler to get a good grip then move to the bottom edge of the trunk lid to finish opening it.
I used to grab for the pull strap to close it, but go to thinking if I keep doing that the strap will eventually break and it will happen aboutone month after the straps have been discontinued by GM.
No one sets on the seats in my car. They must set on towels bought just for this purpose. Laugh if you want but I went to get the oil changed in the car today. A store had a sale on oil changes $4.99 (and they forgot to mention the $3 disposal fee)
Guythat changed the oil brought my car out. He said, "Man that's a clean car."
IT BETTER BE!!!

That is so funny RJ, because I wash and condition the interior every week.
Every time I go get an oil change, the guys there always say the same thing.
"Nice Monte Carlo,is it a 2007? Neversaw a 3.9 before."
They actually do see it every 3 months, but I keep the car so clean and they are so rare around here, the technicians forget that they've seen the car before.

GPD,
The towel thing on the seats was actually my g/f's idea in the beginng.
We both had bought sheets to cover the seats in our 1980s Montes and you'd be amazed how much this saved the seats in the car(s) from the sun. So it was only natural to do something like this when the new Monte came in to the family.

when closing, I pull on the handle/strap to get the trunk most of the way down, then put 2 fingers - yes, only 2 - on top of the spoiler and then close it down the rest of the way. only using 2 fingers makes less prints to have to wipe off

RE: Keyless trunk owners question?
I am starting conciously use different places to manipulate the trunk.
Some of the clear bra tape would be nice.
I have a small indentation forming where I would always close the trunk with my right hand on the top of the spoiler.

Neither does mine if you don't give it some "push."
All I need would be the trunk lid doesn't latch, flies back up, smacks me in the chin and I now have 15 stitches in my chin.
