Default I've Been A Bad, BAD Boy

With the warmer temps, I thought I'd give the bra another try. (NOTE: I mean the car's bra)

I still need to figure out a way to attach the lower section to the wheel well openings. The tabs sewn to the bra don't seem to:
A. Want to hold on that well.
B. The lowest tab seems to be in the wrong location? At least for an SS Monte.

Right now, my one thought is to flatten the lowest tab amlost straight, drill a hole in it, and use one of the plastic plugs that hold the lower body kit in place to hold this tab on to the car.

I think I may need to find a screw the appropriate size and use it instead of the plastic plug. This would be due to if I ever want to remove and reinstall the bra on the car.

Is that made for a car with the High Sports Kit?

Default car bra

..Hey RJ, where did you order that one from ? I have always
wondered how they are to attach from the wheel opening ?
I've been considering getting one for mine because we have a lot
of bugs in this state and bad roads with pebbles flying up
all the time. What is the underside made of ?

I got the bra at AutoAnything. Same place I bought the mirror bras from. And same company that made the mirror bras, Calgen.

I checked :
A. 00-05 Chevy Monte Carlo.
B. SS
C. Fog Lights.
D. Front License Plate.

Eh... I hate car bras. I think it'd be OK if you were going on a road trip or something, but I couldn't stand keeping that thing on.

IDK RJ, I don't think it's made for your high-sports kit. By looking at your picture, you can see that the top of the fog lights / license plate cover looks like it's being forced down, like you were pulling it too much from the bottom which would mean the high-sports kit is adding the length?

Just my observation though.

chibi, you can kinda see a sewn mark at the bottom tho making it look like it was designed to be for that car, idk if that makes sense lol, maybe it just has to be stretched out when its warm?

Good question about high sport appearence package on the car. I'll call AutoAnything tomorrow and ask them about this.

As for the bra looking stretched. First it needs to be tight. Otherwise it's going to flap in the wind out on the interstate.

When I snapped the pics, it wasn't (and still isn't) attached at the very bottom of the wheel well openings. On either side. Other then the top to bottom stretch from being attached at those points the bra doesn't have the right stretch side to side, to it.

Getting the bra warmed by the sun sure helped with the installation.

I'm not really crazy about bras on cars anymore. I think from a style point of view, they've been done to death a long time ago.

Functionally, they're great. If you're going on a trip or you have to travel on gravel/dirt roads they really save the front end of your car from stone chips.

I don't want to crap on your parade RJ. Obviously people still like them since they still make and sell them.

It will look good when you get it fully installed. Getting it warmed up in the sun definitely helps.

I was thinking the same as Chibi Mike. Maybe it's not taking the high sport attachment into account.
