looks good brock. so why you decide to spray instead of going turbo? saw your collection of turbos few pages back lol.. mine finally and slowly putting back together too now that i have fund. trying to decide if i should run speed in TU2 cam custom cam grind. i might have to bump up to 85 lbs injector. gonna run the 65 lbs first and see how that go.
I'm excited to see your build done.
We're doing something similar in a G body here. 6.0 LQ9 with a TH400 or 4L80E
I'd highly suggest pulling the pan off. Seeing the rust in the cylinder there's probably rust on the pickup tube and crank.
I'd also highly suggest picking up a set of Katech rod bolts. They don't require resizing the rod and are just cheap insurance. The weakest point is the rod bolts then the piston then the rod.

And thanks Tad, hopefully it does decent.

im excite to get it started too. my buddy with supercharged C6 called me out best out of 3 races next springs cuz i was making fun of him running 12.7 in the quarter mile:. he paid $40k for the C6. what size injectors you plan to run cuz i might bump up to 85 lbs and if i do that i'll have the 65 lbs for sale.

Wow, just wow, what a huge amount of fabricating and head scratching going on with your build. I can't imagine undertaking a project like your doing in my garage. hats off to you with regards to all your mechanical knowledge and perserverance. A labor of love for sure Brock. Nice way to represent the Monte's at the track, some serious power coming together.
