Well, for now I'm going to spray because the turbo is going to cost me too much. I still need to upgrade my rear end, buy injectors, all of the plumbing, etc. I'll be into it $3k before it's all said and done.
I'm excited to see your build done.

I'd highly suggest pulling the pan off. Seeing the rust in the cylinder there's probably rust on the pickup tube and crank.

I'd also highly suggest picking up a set of Katech rod bolts. They don't require resizing the rod and are just cheap insurance. The weakest point is the rod bolts then the piston then the rod.
I picked up a different motor and sold that one from earlier in the thread. I paid $300 for it and it was in mint condition. I've been doing some research lately, a lot of the local guys making huge power have stuck with stock replacement rod bolts, and done main studs with it. I'll have to see what happens, everyone seems to have a different take on the set up.

And thanks Tad, hopefully it does decent.

Wow, just wow, what a huge amount of fabricating and head scratching going on with your build. I can't imagine undertaking a project like your doing in my garage. hats off to you with regards to all your mechanical knowledge and perserverance. A labor of love for sure Brock. Nice way to represent the Monte's at the track, some serious power coming together.

I might be very interested in those. Not sure how far they will get me on e85, but if they are cheap enough haha

Thanks man, I've been working my butt off on this thing, doing reading, reading, and more reading. It just takes time. It will never be as clean as your red monster though!
