Is the wait killing anyone else?
Hey Zach,

The car looks really great. I can probably take mine out April 1st or a week or so into April. We need a few rains here.

I wanted to ask if you did or will have to do any tuning after the new intake manifold was put in?

I am excited for spring weather so the Monte can stay clean for more than a day. It has only been in the 40s as of late but it did hit 60s a couple of days.

Thanks man. Hopefully soon for us all. Did you have any winter projects on yours? Yes I needed tuned since I used a different throttle body and maf and it's moving a lot more air with the new manifold.

supposed to be 60 here this weekend but temps are dropping with rain so I hope they don't spray the roads again

Not really it's just been sitting there on some thick soft mats/pads with some nice fuel stabilizer and on trickle charger since December 1st. I started it up once in January and once last week and will probably have it on insurance for April 1st in case we have some nice days here and there. Our weather has been real strange this winter, not much snow but just a dead cold for all of February up until last week.
I just need brakes VERY soon and I want to go with something different. Something better than stock that's for sure. I was looking at GXP brakes but open to suggestions. I definitely need bigger rotors and those are a 12.8" front and 11.8 " rear, in comparison to the stock 11.8" front and 10.8"rear. I know there is a Brembo Front Brake Kit out there for it but I was thinking the GXP setup may be more than suitable. Send me a message if you have any suggestions for this.

I also sent my headers back last year as you know and decided that I will be doing going with the Catless Downpipe from ZZP for now and getting a good tune done and have DOD finally disabled too with that.

I think if I did get the headers again I would want to do the intake manifold before I installed those too. I feel it would be the better way to go.

Mine has been under the cover for a good couple months on the charger. Your winter sounds about the same as ours was this year.

I was going to go the GXP caliper route until I priced them out. Most were going for 400-500 used. I was told to look into CTS calipers IIRC and they have the same rotor size but can be found cheaper. I ultimately decided to keep the stock ones for now and just get good pads. I spent the extra money elsewhere for now.

It will sound good Mine was pretty aggressive catless on the manifolds. A good tune works wonders too. Who are you going to go with?

I got mine out last weekend...Felt great to finally get some time in the seat after all the work this winter I did. Pulls very well out on the highway. I have been logging it and plan to have Will at Overkill make a couple adjustments and I will be set. I have been driving it everyday since I can't get enough haha

Mine will be coming out in two to three weeks probably, depending on the weather. Been sitting covered and pretty much untouched since November 8.

The weather is all over the place the past few weeks. I was welcomed at work yesterday morning with 2.5" of snow on the ground and then today's high reaches 65 and tomorrow is suppose to be 70 with a chance at our first thunderstorms of the year. So far we really haven't had any precip to wash the winter crap off the roads. That and our roads are just terrible in general because Lansing is too busy approving pro-life license plates and trying to (again) raise our freeway speed limit to 80.

I have a lot going on in general this year but the car events are looking plentiful. Looking forward to seeing some of you up this way this year.

Yeah your weather has been a little more crazy than here. I think spring is pretty much here to stay around here. We have had one really good rain that helped wash the crap off the roads and thunderstorms expected here the next couple days.

Same here tons of shows and cruises planned this year. I can't wait for June and finally get to meet you guys up there. Should be a fun weekend.
