Default Interior Rattles....2006 SS

Yep. Interior rattles pretty good (bad!). Both front doors and the rear left interior panel thing.

Wondering if anyone else has this problem. Its not too big of a deal, but if I can fix it, I will!

Thanks!

I have rattles also, and the doors seem like there is nothing in them when you close them they sound pretty hollow. I was worried that maybe my car was in an accident but nothing shows up on CARFAX so I guess it is normal. it is pretty annoying when I hear them, especially for a car that is not very old!!

I'm thinking what I may do is rip off the panels throw some foam or something in there and hopefully that will cut down on it.

i think someone took off your panels and broke or lost some of the clips. try replacing them first. you take out a couple screws, then panel pop, wiggle the window switch out, and last dont lose the rubber piece underneth the mirror d-pad. good luck.

i used dynomat extreme. it was a PITA but no more rattles. my problem now is in the console thing in the center of the headliner. everyplace i take it to tells me they dont mess with um. lol so i dont think i should eiter.

When I had a rattle in my doors it was due to improperly secured machine screws in the window track.

Just popped my panel off and tightened everything up. But I have heard the 7th Gens getting more rattle in the winter time when stuff shrinks and goes away when it warms up more.

My doors don't rattle in my 06...but sometimes my exhaust will make one of the interior panels surrounding the rear window rattle. I have yet to look into it and try to figure out where its coming from.

I've got some rattles, but only very noticeable in the winter.
