New to chevys. Got a "volt" light on dash this morning. someone tell me, battery disconnect /alternator/ etc

 

Its telling you thebattery isnt getting chargedcompletelywhich could mean the alternator is bad or going bad. It could also mean that thereis a bad wire or connection somewhere in thecharging system.What year is your monte? What engine?
