Default Installing dogbone(s) problems ...

Before I started my MC today after geting it out of storage, I had to instal a motor mount to move it. Over the winter I purchased Intense Racing's poly busing set, & when I went to place the dog bone between the engine mount - the one on the intake, not the one with the other bushing - it did not hardly fit any more. I hammered the heck out of it to get it in there ... I am going to take it back out to paint it & all, just like the other one, ... How am I going to get these in without destroying the finish on them?

PS: Is there a left & right dogbone, or motor mount?

Don't use a hammer, use a rubber mallet and then you'll be fine. Intense Racing's poly motor mounts are about the only things that Intense did right, lol. You'll enjoy them.

@zipper: Yeah, definitely would have reached for the rubber or even deadblow with a soft barrier inbetween, if I have thought about taken one ... never knew there would be such a problem. Ugh. I will get it figured out, but I was legitimately*raging* ...

PS: Thank you for the response, Sir ...

They, essentially, do not fit between the mount on the intake/engine side. The round ends of the dogbones need to be pounded in between with a hammer, etc.

NO reason they should fit THAT tight, & nothing has been modded whatsoever -other that the additional of the polys.

(Engine movement is not a problem ...)
