Brought my car in to fix the OnStar and they replaced VCIM (box in the trunk). The OnStar box in the trunk. New Unit has a failed backup battery and a red LED on the mirror. They said it would be red for 24 hours to reset itself. OnStar advisor said the backup battery is bad on a new Mexican made part. I am getting a loaner this time.

 

Its kewl mmwrench were all here to learn and god knows I've learned a thing or two. The radio antenna is in back window and Onstar antenna is black rubber on roof of 06-07 montes.

 

That black rubber triangle also contains the XM Radio antenna.
