Default im wondering

what is that box in the trucnk all nice and sealed with no name lol....

it has wires going in to it its on the drivers side
i looked on the manual and cant seam to find anything about it

its your onstar unit

they should really only put that in if you actually want onstar...but i guess its easier to just put them in all of them

if i ever leave town i rent a car anyway so i will never have use for it

no problem , how come you rent a car to leave town? the monte's are great on gas and comfortable to drive

i went to winipeg last year and rented a car thats a 2 day drive
i rented impala nice car but by the time i got back it had a big dent on the hood from a truck in front of me i got hit twice on the windshield needs a new one not my fault
car only had 2000 kms when i got it
so after all that if i ever go far away again ill rent

ahhh...i guess that makes sense...i dont think i've had that bad of luck when highway driving...i did have a golf ball hit the windshield in my truck though when driving downt he 401...that wasn't fun

Depends on model year too Whiz. If it's 06-07 Onstar is standard equipment and can't be deleted. I'm a little concerned though as to why GM would remove the Onstar logo from the box??

You can get an 06-07 without On-Star.......
and it can be deleted from the car when you order it.....

My dealer offered that opition to me.....

On chevy.com website it states Onstar is standard equipment on 06-07....how can it be deleted?
