Sorry to me Vettes are over rated. Sure they can be lots of fun. But keep in mind a $50 brake caliper becomes $300 when you say the word: "Vette."

I think I'd go for modding the Monte or if anything the GTO.

So what's it called when you own a fleet of '57 Chevies and 4 Monte Carlos? lol

I say get the goat and install the twin turbo kit. That will be all the power you need. Vettes and anything 2 seater just seem useless, and like everyone says, parts and insurance are expensive.

First I"ve never owned a Vette. Even thought there have been a few I would love to.

It seems to me unless you're a hard core Vette owner most sell their's a year or two after buying them. Cause they get to feeling the smaller interior space doesn't meet their daily needs.

My thoughts exactly on the Vette.

You're a "car enthusiast" or a "collector".

Or a Jay Leno wanna be.

That's something that I've always heard women say about Corvette owners. Which is one of the things that turned me off from wanting to own one.

They can think what they want, I'm not going to sleep with them, and I'd still have a vette!

I would go for the vette, even though they ride like trucks. I've always wanted to build a 67' with the 427 and airconditioning, which was rare. And yes, it would be all new parts....anyone want to lend $85k? haha

I'd take the 'Vette, rip off the body and drivetrain. Toss in a Duramax/Alison combo and make a new body that looks like the Stingray concept...

But that's just if you were me.
