Craig, very sorry to hear that GM lied to one of their own employees.

That alone... Means I will NEVER buy another GM... period

**CK EM.... that's ridiculous. I mean I thought it was bad when I found out my car has also had repairs, and NOONE would tell me why. Nothing severe, just had the top layer of paint flaking (size of a grain of rice flaked off) on the D.Side rear window. They repaired it, but the job has obvious lines.

Now the extra layer on the gas door is flaking as well,haven't brought it in yet, because I'm not looking forward to ANOTHER week without my car, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe they'll just replace the damned door itself?

I've never been able to find out what the repair on the car was... despite numerous calls to both the rental company and GM, and the auctioneer that sold it to my dealership.

Nothing serious whatever it was, it's the original panel, and there's nothing that required any bondo or the like.

 

Personally, I would update my resume and look for other work. Possibly for Ford.

 

Cort... I bought the car May 31, 2007 with 64 miles, it has 2,400 now. I noticed it serveral times, but it is one of those... naw... I'm seeing things... type of thing. But once my wife noticed it, then I started checking. I see things wrong with my car nobody else would notice, but if someone else can see it, it MUST BE FIXED!

 

Sorry to hear you plan on getting rid of it. It is a super SS Monte.

But I know I too would lay awake at night think of how I got took. It's one thing if damages like this are disclosed to you BEFORE you sign the contract. And 180 degrees the opposite of how you feel AFTER you sign.
