I went to two dealers and both dont have a diagram for the sunroof tracks, if there is any GM Techs here do u guys know how to get a hold of the part number for it? Its for a 6th gen, mine has the springs pretty worn out and the sun roof wont stop clicking n shuddering over every single big or tiny bump opened or closed it ticks n clicks and if i cant fix this problem i will prolly just duct tape it closed

Ok thanks trewyn, now i know i need #5, but the diagram doesnt actually give a physical part number nor a price which i assume is somewhere in the $150-$250 price range.

 

It has no part number on GMPD, although it is called the 'housing'.

You may need to buy the whole thing on ebay or something... I see one for $100 give or take:

Have you checked yards around you? I could potentially look around here next time I go.

 

Yea i looked at the local yards only found two MCs with sunroofs and after i connected my jumper n opened the sunroofs i noticed that they both had the same problem. To know if the housing is in good shape u would need to open the sunroof, then grab the very back of the glass and move it up n down, left n right if it wiggles and ticks its worn out if it doesnt tick its in potentially good shape. Let me know first how much you're local yard wants n how much more for ur time n shipping?

 

My time wouldn't be a big deal, but if I do find them, it's going to save you tons of money to just meet me in rockford or something one day, or sometime you're up here just pick it up.
