Default I am considering a 4th Gen Monte

I am seriously considering getting a 4th gen MC SS I am looking in between 86-88 models. I would like it to be a Project in progress.
Eventually I would like to put a 454 in but again, I'd be happy with the stock 305 in it, I just love the look of the car.
So far I have no expirienc with the 4th gen. But am willing to learn.
So for those with more expirince with 4th gens is there anything should be looking for other than rust on the body, evidence of leaks, carfax? any advice is appreciated. I am pretty tech savy(or I think so lol[8D]) but some literature could help, any books, guides you would recomend? I saw a Haynes Manual for 70-88 on amazon but that is about it.
Thanks all.

Space, that is one clean looking Monte.
Price is not bad at all.
The car looks almost show ready.
If you are looking for one also check out your local http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html
listings.
I am actually going to check out a couple I found on there this weekend.

Thanks L.K.,
Yes, I've been checking Craigs List, and checking all the
local auto trade mag's, & newspapers.
I'm not in any big hurry, & will search for one owned
by one of the retired people here in Florida.
My grandfather belongs to a lot of organizations and is
going to be searching for me also : )
I really like the one above because it has several mod's that
I would want to do. Now, I don't have a garage or the tools
to do mod's : (, but I'm still dreaming.
Wish you good luck on your search, it would be great `if
you didn't have to put (go for) miles on your
Awesome Black SS : )
