Hypertech is garbage
Well the guy who posted that doesn't sound like the 'smartest tool in the shed.' He spells customer as costumer. Second you can't believe every idiot who posts something somewhere. Now I'm not saying he hasn't had problems with Hypertech but they are a company whose been around for years with a proven track history. Just my .02.
Chuck, please keep the forum members posted on
your problem. Our Moderator: Montejass has also had
problems with his hypertech. You should email him and
find out if he had his problems corrected.
Wish you Good Luck

programmers work different on every vehicle, some vehicles they work well on, some they dont
key thing is you saw it on trucks, programmers work really really well on trucks, not the same on cars
i had a hypertech for my dakota, and it worked amazing but i wouldn't get it for the car

I have to agree that their customer support isn't the best, but it's getting harder to fing good support as well.
My opinion is the programmer itself is a great product at a significantly high price. These things should only be $200 or so new. They are very simplistic, easy to use, but don't give many options. Perfect for the guy that never uses a computer, only checks email, or is looking for a quick but not a really good tune.
If you know how to use a computer (specifically a spreadsheet), read a graph, and can compare numbers - then the $400 is better dropped on a DH Power Tuner or HPTuners program. You can tweak out the fuel tables for more HP, KR control, and timing over the Hypertech model. This is especially true if you have an L67 (3800 supercharged) as it is a very touchy engine and acts wildly different between mods.
The Hypertech can give you realistically about 5-10HP while the DH Tuner and HPTuners can give you around 10-20HP... possibly more depending on what mods are thrown at it.
