How much will a Cold Air Intake Help
With my 6th gen. Monte carlo 2001 Ss will it increase Acceleration help with gas millage give me the sucking sound and everything they are suppose to do? Also what brand and whats the reason for that brand let me know! please looking to mod my cars performance now thank you in advance!

If it's one that's mounted in the lower front fender well. it sucks water into the motor and seizes it up by bending the connecting rods when you hit a deep puddle in the road.
You get about the same performance by just installing a K&N filter in the stock air cleaner.
If you are going to put a high flow exhaust with headers, a radical cam, larger injectors and high pressure fuel pump, Chipped ECU etc. you might then benefit from a larger intake system and filter.

Plainly speaking, you're looking about about a 5hp gain and if you can keep your foot off the pedal, another mile or two per gallon. With that said, gains are negligible between brands and you'll see a nearly identical gain with a home built fwi.
