True but don't you think it would be cool to see a civic that is faster than a lambo? I would love to see them race and see a car that is off the lot at 10k beat a car that is 250k

I agree with the nature of the point made. You have people that mod those compact cars and don't create any serious HP to do much more then beat there stock version of their car. Then there are those people that want to make an unlikely underdog a big winner. Sure, a lot of money is invested, but usually those that know how to get true horse power from a small beginning do a lot of awesome custom work and there is something to be said and admired about that.

Eh, yes and no. Sure, many people love to see the underdog win. And again, it's a heck of an achievement and as said earlier, clearly has work worth admiring. But I don't totally agree with that comparison of a 10K off the lot car beating a 250K car.

Part of that reason is keep in mind, that 10K car was NOT a 10K car that beat that 250K car. It was a heavily modified car. You mentioned that Honda had 100K in mods? That means that is a 110K car (and if the owner did his own research and work, then their is sweat equity of the owner in this project).

It depends on what the owner was going for. But again, I can still admire the fact that a car that started from such a small beginning (like being an econo box) could over power beast of a factory stock car. And I am NOT trying to take away from that.

Sounds like the speed factory's Honda. My only restriction Is it has to be the stock engine, If you do a swap (like so many honda owners do ) than its a different kind of modding. Personally with that kind of money I would go with the Dodge Viper, just says so much more than a corvette does.

Also, I see hondas as less of a car, and more of a lunch box. You could fit two of them into the space Red occupies.

100k into a Civic is a complete waste of money IMO. Could have bought one, or multiple, legitimate car(s) with that.

1986 Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet, Red/Red/Black top, 36K, NICE! (1986 ferrari Mondial $26700)
1984 Lotus Turbo Esprit, Red/Tan, Restored, Very Nice Car! (1984 Lotus esprit Turbo $13,900)
2005 Lotus Elise with every option and amazingly quick (2005 Lotus Elise Chameleon painted $28,950)
2006 pontiac gto supercharged (2006 pontiac Gto Super charged $25,000)

I would rather have any one of these cars, let alone ALL FOUR for less than 100k. I dont care if it's got a 1000 hp it probably blows transmissions left and right.
