Hit 100k today (i.e. it's going up for sale)
So since I've been having issues this past year and it's only gonna lose it's value faster, I've decided to sell it this spring. First I have to fix the coolant elbow leak, stepper motors in the guages, and sensor issues before I do that. Replacing the LIM gasket earlier this year tested my sanity. When it works, it works great. I'm just tired of messing with it. I've never had a such a "new" car with this few of miles give me this much trouble. The whole point of me buying it was I wanted something less than 10yrs old and under 100k miles that I wouldn't have problems with for a while. I'm over it.
p.s. In the market for something awd (audi, subaru, vw), 4wd (blazer), or VW (80's rabbit, 60-70's type 3 notch or squareback)

i'll tell you right now, you don't want an audi. you get the same car as a VW only parts cost 5x's as much, and they break more.
subaru's i've heard are reliable, but they also suck to work on. again, any repair bills would be horrible.
if i had to choose though, i would go with a blazer / S10, or the subaru.

No offense but I'd stick with something else DSMs, audis, subarus, acuras all a PITA to work on unless you like working with really compact engien that break often, just my opinion from friends that had these type of cars.

I know Audi's are the same as VW (my buddy is an Audi mechanic). It's just easier to find an AWD Audi than VW around here. I'm in love with VW's ingenuity though. Ever since I got my 57 beetle, I've been amazed by how simple yet ahead of the times they are. Plus they are in bed with Porsche.

Every rose has it's thorn, as the song goes. Imports are spendy with repairs, my daughters VW Cabrio new plug wires $125 for 4, Ouch. The ride of a Blazer or any S-10 is not so comfortable, have a 01 S-10 pick up ZR2 wide stance and it get's uncomfortable on long drives and the gas mileage is not much better than my 96 GMC full size 350 4x4. So I would get a full size pick up, but I'm a contractor and actually carry big loads on a regular basis. But the ride is WAY better than the smaller truck. Good luck with your new rose.......
