Hi all. I have a 04 SC MC. I am looking at installing the ZZP 1.0 pcm, if anyone has this could you please explain to me how the skip shift option works. I understand the physical part but how does it happen. It skips from 4th down to 2nd or 3rd down to 1st but how, do I have to be at full throttle or what. Thanks in advance.

 

You have the idea. Say youre in 4th and floor it. Normally it would shift down in order. 3rd, then second. Skip shift allows the car to drop to the lowest gear instantly. I believe the only way to "activate" it is to go full throttle. Partial throttle will only make it drop one gear.

EDIT: Just for clarity, it will drop from 3rd to 1st as well.

 

Personally, I'd avoid doing that regularly as its hard on the transmission, especially if you have elevated power.
