i've never owned a monte carlo but from '95 to '98 i used to help work on an ol' '82 monte carlo that we ran on the dirt track had to put 1 frame out from under an '80 monte carlo under it. that is 1 car that my nephew wishes he could have had. we ended up selling it for $2,000.00 along with its parts car. chris

my nephew is currently trying to find another monte carlo to turn into a dirt track car and i'm hoping to possibly finding him a '78 or '79 monte carlo because of them being tougher and the option for him to turn it into a thunder car. but as to my post on the ol' '82 monte carlo nope it ain't sad cause it was already a shell whenever we bought the car.

Default Her name was Marissa

I only had her for three months and I was just about to start making her look pretty before a drunk driver struck it while it was parked. Car is a total loss. I love Monte Carlos.

well just last weekend i got a call from my sister who was balling her eyes out... my old monte that i sold her for the red 97 had just blown the tranny so we had it towed back to my dads house so he could look at it the next day, sure enough goina be expensive to fix. so now my once dearly beloved monte is going to be towed to the junkers and striped of all its parts because they didnt wanna fix it she just bought a 2000 cavalier Z24 today. i know theres been a few times this year where i thought of giving up on my monte but ive never been able to do it/part with it so i always just fix her up, and it makes me happy cuz i love my monte. so it kinda broke my heart with me dad, sister decision.. im sure they could got a tranny put in for the 2400 they spent on another car

I will scan some pics of my 86 in a few. Bit in the meantime I know she's not a Monte but a close relative. I was on my way home from work at 5pm and approached a busy intersection, light turned yellow, I gassed it a biot and a lady in a Skyhawk went and turned in front of me. I broadsided her and knocked her into a fire hydrant. It didnt go off. She ended up breking the gearshift and sitting in the passenger seat. I got out and ran over to her and touched and blood ran everywhere, she was in hospital for 2 weeks. She was ok though. Funny thing was I found out she worked with my girlfriend at the time. Totaled both. I had good plans for this 72 Cutlass. Needless to say, I didnt even have a scratch. Those links are a hassle look at next post
