i wish that gm would put 6 speeds in all of there v6 and up vehicles as well as most of there v8's. i know that my monte will benifit having anouther gear or or a extra 2 gears for economy. i know majority of us here will enjoy having a extra gear or 2 for the final drive. yet alone for the performance members here as well. knowing there is a trans out there having 2 extra gears making there dd or the weekend worior a little more reliable when there is anouther gear or two there. it is a thaught

 

I know what your talking about wish my 1969 corvette had 6 gears instead of 4,thought about installing a 6 speed but $$$says no.

 

i was always thaught gm would have done this for there vehicles do to the extra gears gives lower rpm in the final drive. i noticed it in my silverado it has a six speed auto from the factory it helps out alot for the drive ability of it. i know not all of gm vehicles have them i would think they would. if you think about it 6 gears = better fuel econemy in the long run if you have to go threw high way to go to a job site in a truck as well as a car going to a job. having those two extra gears less strain on every thing. i have driven my silverado to work for a week to see the fuel economy it was pretty far 23-26 miles to the gallon do to stop and go alot beater then my dads crown victoria that he has wich is a 4 speed.
