Default Texas now has the high speed limits

Thats right, the state house has passed a bill that would give the Department of Transportation power to raise the speed limit. It's been said that the posted speed limit will be changed from 70mph to 85mph. WhooHoo!
However they will have a specific lane for people who would like to drive 85mph so that people who choose not to drive at that speed will not be in the way.

I was told it was going up to 75 and will stay the same at night. 85 would make my 30 minute ride home from work great ! Lol

We have had some 85mph zones here in Utah for over a year now!! I'm constantly rolling 85-90 out here ....I love this state. In Illinois where I'm orginally from, those troopers lit you up doing 58 in a 55 on I-55 it seems.....here they let you roll 10 over all day long. I wish they would designate a special high spped lane for 85ers though like Texas...Sweet, Way to go Texas..
