Old thread much?

 

Just had this fixed on my '03 a month ago... quick in-and-out, no big deal.

 

And I'm not exactly sure how GM knew to mail the recall notice to me... I bought the car from a used dealer.

 

hmmmmm i bought my monte from a used car dealership, im at 128,000, think a local chevy or GM dealership would still be able to hvae a look?

 

Being a GM parts manager, I don't think this recall was needed. ONLY IF someone works on the car, does NOT put the plug wires back in their proper place, it has to have an oil leak and the plug wire has to spark for this recall to occur.

again, if Tech is even half way decent, this will not happen.

uh glad i took a look at this. guess im taking it in.

 

Ran a Carfax on my MC before I got it, and saw that mine was had the recall.

 

I got the notice about this recall over a year ago and took my monte in to the dealer. There was also another recall i had fixed at the same time i cant remember what it was though.

...just looked and saw how old this thread was... soo never mind
