I got my recall notice in the mail today for this.

I signed up a couple of months ago to get recall notices at a site I went to. Figured that since I was not the original owner, I needed to sign up. So are they giving new keys, changing the ignition, or doing something to the keys that already exist? I only have one of the keys to it since it is not paid off yet.

 

All they do is put your keys on smaller key rings and add little plastic pieces at the top of the plastic piece. They don't change the ignition.

 

So basically not worth the hassle?

 

I'd just do it to get any recalls on your Vin closed.

 

oh ok think I need to go get my other key then so they can do that one too.

 

This is what they do like is said above, give you a smaller ring and put an insert in the key.

 

ok thank you. I am getting my other key from the dealer Saturday (my daughter works there so not a problem as long as I return it..LOL) And I will get both keys done next week.

 

The dealer you bought the car from keeps one of the keys?
