Default FWI Battery Reset?

I forgot who told me this, I think it was silverstreak (lol sorry, dont mean to point virtual fingers) that I should reset my computer since im getting more air in then usual. So tonight, as I got home from class I disconnected my negative terminal for 30secs for it to re-set itself. I was also told that doing so would lose all my presets for the radio..So i connected the - back and started my car...all my presets were still there...how do i know if I did it right? Also, I was reading on a Camaro (2010) forum and they said that its 30mins for it to completely reset itself...which is true and did I reset it?

I dont think you need to reset anything for a FWI.

I'm sorry to say it but you really don't need to reset the PCM for just a FWI. Once you install it, you're good to go.

yeah, i thought it was only for larger things that you need a relearn or whatever, i thought with just a FWI after running it the pcm will get used to it, just like if you installed a tuned pcm, it wont show benefits right away but after a while it will get used to the vehicle settings and the full potential of the vehicle/pcm at that point will be released

It's all good man. Sometimes people on car forums are too ready to make fun of people when they're just beginning to learn. That's why I like it here. There are plenty of people on here ready to give advice without being mean as well. Keep modifying the Monte. It's fun to do
