RE: FINALLY some pictures
I wasn't sure what Chevy suggest the SS Montes being run on?
I do know a lot of people say that the knock sensor, and onboard computer you don't need to run premium gas in most of today's vehicles.
The guys on the Mopar site AllPar were real intent on this.

The owners manual says 91 octane fuel recommended. It also states that it will run on 87 octane but for optimum performance use 91 or higher. The engine has 10.25 to 1 compression, and I would tend to believe with that ratio, premium would be best.Years ago,the regular gas engines were at 9 to 1 or 8 to 1 compression. The performance engines were usually at 10 to 1 or higher.

RE: FINALLY some pictures
Drove my 07 SSto Florida and back and mainly used 87 pump octane. The odd time I gave her a treat and put in 89 but had no issues at all with the 87 grade. Sure as hell don't need any more performance than ithas now. It's scary fast as it is.
I did pick up a K&N filter for it while in Florida. Just the drop in kind, don't know if this will help fuel mileage or performance or not. I've always used them in my Monte's, can't hurt anything.
