im ready to get this engine out of my car,i have an engine hoist I can borrow but its an hour away and I don't have a truck to haul it,i have a few trees around the yard and couls buy a couple come-alongs but I don't want to push the car around finding the right limb,Does anyone have any ideas to pull an engine besides a hoist?

 

Would it be any easier to drop the engine rather than lift it ? I think that's how we took an engine out of a cavy, though their engines are smaller in comparison. If you can get the car raised high enough, you could lower the engine onto a creeper or something and roll it out.

 

I thought about it, I do have about 10 12 inx12in blocks that are about 5 inches thick I could sit the car on,i don't have a creeper but I can put a come along on it and just drag it out,i got everything off and im not worried about screwing it up,i will know tomorrow if im going to be able to get the hoist or not...anticipation lol
