I bought mine in August of 2007. It was a dealership demo that never sold. It had 17,000 kilometers on it (I'm in Canada). I paid $16,500 plus my 1999 Grand Am GT. Canadian money was close to par with U.S. money at the time.
The Chevy dealership was asking $24,900.

Mine is not a Jr but it is an 04 SS Supercharged. With a shot motor mount, gutted airbox and a K&N airfilter I was able to pull 15.02 @ 91.66 in the quarter. I did take out the spare jack, tire, Onstar. I feel that car had 14.9 in her but I ran out of time. When I ran that she was about 140 degrees engine temp so if the engine could have cooled down more I could have gotten into the 14.9 and the car has 104k miles and the engine still feels strong.
As this guys/gals have said...with afew mods this cars will move pretty good. Your only real problem will be traction with the more mods that you do.
