Default Custom Radio Help

If I put in a custom radio in will I be able to access all my key fob change oil light and tire pressure etc features. Has anyone tried it? I wanna put in a custom stero but want to be able to turn off those lights if they come on. Is there any way to get them turned off if the stereo dosent work.

There are simple instructions here in the forum for resetting oil and tire pressure lights, your issue will be with everything else once you replace the stock radio. What I did was to set everything on the stock radio the way I wanted before I replaced it.

To do the oil: Turn the key to ON, pump the gas pedal all the way down and back 3 times in 5 seconds.

To do the tire pressure: Turn the key to ON, pull the light **** halfway and push it back in 3 times in 5 seconds.

I don't really want the stock one my LS has sort of become a project, I'm going to experiment with doing things on it and see how they go before doing a lot to the SS. But the SS will keep the stock stero may get kicker or rockford 6x9s but thats all for sound system.

What Trewyn is saying, is there are relocation harnesses that you can add to your car. You could run it to the trunk, and just leave the harness in a spot that is hidden.

If you ever need to access something through the radio, you just undo the hiding spot, and plug the radio in. Then you can easily do whatever is needed (without affecting your sound system)

But those harnesses aren't cheap.
