*Need Help* 85 MC Shift Cable
I was trying to hook up my transmissin shift cable line, but I don't see where it goes. And the problem, I can't move my car in reverse, drive or anything. So like I say I go under the car and a line isn't connected. So I tried to find where it goes but its no spot. I don't know if transmission been switched out or wat. If I want to I can drive it by pushing the lil rod thing in and out under the car. But who wants to do that!? But I need help.

if you bought a shifter for the car it should have come with brackets and instructions on how to install, and adjust it. did it originally have a column shift? if youre running a floor shifter the aftermarket shifters have a plate that bolts to the pan that holds the cable in place from there there should be a square tab with a hole hanging down the side of the trans that you run a bolt, and a nut through, and through the cable. you adjust it in neutral. ive never done one with a factory floor shifter so i couldnt tell you if you should already have the brackets, or not. ive only converted from column to floor ****. if you go to b&m, or hursts website they sell all the plates, and parts that you need separately. id be surprised if they dont have a pdf on how to install it as well.
