cross drill rotors
The problem with the OEM ones is just that once they get moisture on them and then get hot = warp city. So sometimes people can get long life out of them, sometimes you can't even get a year.
I also have the D/S from ebay that MaMonte has (well ordered) just because it's a cheap package for 4 rotors and 4 ceramic brakes. If they suck, they suck, but I NEED brakes on this car ASAP haha and I don't have the extra month to save up for the good stuff.

I have try slotted, drilled, and my opinion is no need for them on the street, unless you like the look. ;-) They don’t last as long, and only help under *extreme* braking.
GM is notorious for warping rotors. There spec’s suck, I know guy that worked in a plant that made Rotors for GM right next to rotor for Toyota. He cut the rotors. The spec for GM rotors was a go/no Good gauge. It was checked in only one spot. Toyota required a micrometer and testing all the way around the rotor. Also the cheep rotors are usually only left in there casting to cool for only 24 hours the better ones 48 hours. The end result is they tend to be straight when they are cold but warped when hot.
The best rotors I have ever bought for street (although I can’t find a source for them anymore ) were Brembo OEMs. I put 100K miles (and still going) on a set without warping.. Next I liked the frozen rotors, they held up well too 45K when I sold the car I put them on.
Stay away from Wearever, Wagner, Bendix, GM dealer part (better then the others, but still not great)

Yeah, I think I'm bookmarking this site myself and as silverbullitt suggested check it out after Thanksgiving in hopes of a sale. Don't need them now but she's about do.
yeah i'm most def bookmarking this thread too lol my car just got brand new rotors and pads before i moved down here a couple months ago. i want the drilled/slotted ones but my dad wouldnt let me get them. so i still got a while before i buy new ones but this thread most def helps =D
GM still does not get it, granted they are very close and making very good cars, but please don't put cheap rotors & some low grade parts in the TRANS. So far i have been lucky with the transmission, I have heard some members have had some problems. I don't get it, up graded parts in the trans with the V8 but not for the 3.9. I mean the 3.9 has only around 60 less hp then the SS. For some reason or another GM has had problems with there trans. and all there cars, not counting the vette. You built a sports car were going to drive them hard from time to time, what, were not going to go above 55 mph.
