Question could it be a bad PCM??

so for the last couple of days i've been driving the monte to work instead of the ranger, and im loving almost every minute of it. thing seems like a rocket in comparison, lol . only thing i didint miss about the car was the "dead spot" in the throttle. scince i've first started driving it its made me crazy, i've never been able to pinpoint a specific point it does it in the throttle, and it does it under any driving conditions it damn well pleases... it feels like all of a sudden, for no reason, the car is being held back, and then it'll be fine.... its so aggravating!!! i've replaced almost all the sensors that i would think could cause this problem, hollowed the cat out, all to no avail. i figure that the PCM is really the only thing left to replace. does anyone else think it sounds like my PCM is goofed up, and is whats causing this problem?????

Have you tried using Seafoam? There could be some carbon build-up.

i seafoamed it a while back, didint really help the dead spot...

i forgot about the MAF, i've been wanting to pick up a can of MAF cleaner for a while.

and i have no idea about the fuel pressure. i know the fuel guage sender dosent work, and the pump is pretty loud when i turn the key on.... mabe its on its way out? i've been avoiding the fuel pump & sender though because its so damn expensive for the replacement parts.

does anyone think it could still be the PCM though?

Is the "check engine" light on? If so, there might be codes to help track down the problem. Also, if you haven't done so already, did you check and/or replace the TPS sensor?
