Junk yard should definitely have that. It's not one of the more common parts people look for. Like headlight and taillight assemblies.

Definitely go to a junk yard and find one. You will find them the cheapest and you will be able to find one at almost any big junk yard. That is your best bet, dont even bother buying one from GM you can find one at a junkyard that is much cheaper

From GM you're looking at over 500 bucks for a whole center console assembly, of course that includes the long piece that runs all the way under the dash.

Check out places like Pull-A-Part if they have a location in your area, or any other U-Pull yard.

After calling around for the past week and a half I think I've found a center console. The guy says it's for an '04 but that it should fit my '03. It is black and my interior is gray so it should be a pretty good match as far as color. He quoted me $75. Not sure if this is negotiable or not. Anyways going to drop by tommorow and check it out.

I'd say go for it. That seems like a likely price for one at a junkyard. itll fit all 6th generations...

Well I went and looked at the new center console and it wasn't a perfect fit around the gear shifter. Mine is a rectangle and this one was almost a rectangle but not exactly. Maybe it was for a manual (mine is an automatic). Also there was a couple of cup holders where mine only has one. It seemed like it might fit with modifications to the gear shifter hole. Anyways I didn't get it and my search continues for '03 center console or at least the top half of one.
The guy at the counter said that he doesn't get many salvages or parts for monte carlos because everyone fixes what they have.
Anyways the search goes on
