That's not how mine comes out. I have a couple screws I gotta remove. One is in the cubbie area under the a/c controls, there should be a rubber mat that lines the bottom of the cubbin area, pull that out and you'll see the screw i'm talking about. Then I also have a couple screws inside the armrest that have to come out as well. Once those are out then I can manipulate the console to come out, making sure to unplug the traction button and cig lighter. You also might have to put the key in the ignition and put the car in the lowest gear in order to get it over the gear shifter.

You can take just the top part off though, the part that goes around the gear shifter, that's the part that's held in with clips, IIRC.

yeah, i forgot about the screw under the mat. but the others shouldnt be necisary, sounds like the top just needs to be snapped up and back down. mine want flush where the seatbelt is. i opened the armrest, popped out the little heated seats plastic, then pulled up on the top piece, realined it, and snapped it back on

This thread has been out for awhile. the top portion of my center console is broken near the cup holder. I currently have an ugly tape job on it right now. Is there somewhere I can get the top part?

The top part of the center console is broken into two pieces across the cup holder. Where did you get your replacement parts for your dash wen you swaped youe dash out?

I never swapped my dash out, but like I said, I would recommend going to the junk yard. That's probably where you'll find one the cheapest
