Well it looks like the A/C will have to be repaired on my car again. I bought the car in '07 and the A/C went out about a month later, and a month or so before I joined this forum. My dad and I looked and looked but never found the oriface tube. Where the heck is the darned thing?????

 

IIRC, it's on the high side line on the driver's side near the accumulator.

 

How would you even notice that the A/C isn't working at this time of year? Is it that warm in NC already?

 

The AC compressor will kick on when you turn on the windshield defroster. This helps to clear off the windshield better.
