Ok Mic... Do you remember chaining the motor down too... I had 4-chains attached toextended header bolts to help keep the motor in place -- otherwise I would break motor mounts left and right. Frame supports to keep the frame from twisting from all the torque.

Univeral joints were replaced on a regular basis and actually went through afew drive shafts. I worked my **** off, just to keep that car rolling, and never had a dime to take a girl on a real date. Cruising in my car and maybe a Daily or A&W hotdog was a date - cause the rest of my money went into continuous repairs, maintenance, and GAS (104 Sunoco). MPG lol... more like GPM... Probably 6-8 MPG cruising, but open that bad girl and you could literally watch the gas gauge moving.

I worked every odd job you could imagine to build her and to maintain her. I worked, slept, and worked on that car. It was basically a full time job keeping her rolling. Spark Plugs, Points, condensers, and starters were continuously be replaced. Oh... and tires, lots and lots of tires. I bet I bought the guys house at Westland Tire company and RamChargers, Gratiot Auto Parts. I also contributed a ton to Jack Rouse's fortune when his business was called GAP & ROUSE PERFORMANCE in Livonia Michigan.

Before that car I had a 1966 Mustang that we dropped an alochol fully blown 289 Hi-po that back compressed and shot a couple pistons through the oil pan. I even built a Pinto Stationwagon, TRW Cam, TRW 11:1 Comp Pistons, Weber swirl Throat Carbs, Milled the heads .05" and Steel shimmed, tri-cut stainless valves. Blew that one up too -- actually quite fast! I wish I had all the money I poured into those cars! Should have bought real estate, but I was young and dumb!!!
