Default Battery Corrosion

My 06 had some battery corrosion in which when I cleaned it up with some CRC battery cleaner that some of the underneath copper was exposed. It is the original battery but no starting problems yet. There are 22K on the 3.5. Should I be concerned? Should I replace the negative battery cable along with the battery? I have since out the red terminal protection on the terminal.

I had to replace the battery on my '06 SS and it was a huge PITA. Some of the research that I did before I put my work into the car indicated that the factory ground is not a very good one. If I were you, I would replace/relocate the ground wire. Good luck.

do your own ground with a little larger wire, it will help with some of the dimming of lights and stuff, you can do it for your alternator too, for if you wanna do a stereo system. is there something wrong with the batter itself tho? just clean it off really, as long as the metal on the battery is connecting with the metal on the cable, you shouldnt have much of a problem.

Just don' want the battery to fail and I concerned that about half of the tin coating is now gone from the negative battery terminal with copper now exposed. I was planning on doing the battery next May/June.

I don't want to talk about the battery in my '06.

I've had to have it replaced a couple times already. And I barely drive the car. I constanly have to charge the battery to keep it up. Otherwise.............. it's dead battery time.
