Bad News for my Monte
So as most of you who have interacted with me know, I am in the Air Force and just finished up an overseas tour in Europe. Where I bought and fell in love with my Monte Carlo. So as my time dwindled down it came time to ship it back to the states, my last day having it there I was hit in a parking lot. That was stab in the heart number one. That all passed and I processed my car and shipped it. I got to Virginia and awaited my cars arrival. The date that my car was supposed to get there was August 1st. So here I am waiting for the call to come get it, a few days go by and nothing. I decide to give them a call to see when I can stop by and they tell me that my car hasn't made it yet. I call the shipping company to get the tracking number and it shows that its still in england, the place i dropped it off at says that it shipped out the day I dropped it off. I then call the company that runs everything and they drop the bomb saying that they lost tracking of the container and pretty much told me they have no idea where it is. This company is notorious for losing and delivering damaged cars. So now I have to call my insurance company and see what steps I have to take in order for the company to buy the car from me...this whole process has been a nightmare and it only seems to be getting worse.

That totally sucks! I know the feeling - I almost lost my Mustang in an accident 2 weeks ago. But if somebody "lost" my Monte I think I would die.

Ha ha, every members worst nightmare come true when we ship our personal effects. Guess you will be in the market for another Monte here in the near future.
I have sympathy for your situation, just had to chuckle as that's too funny a whole container being lost, probably yours and another half a dozen cars that day are permanently staying in England.

Well, it's been just over a month since my car was supposed to be here, and 76 days since I dropped it off..and they still will not give me an accurate location, so far I've tried to file claims with the police, my insurance company, and AF Legal, but since the shippers haven't come out and say it's lost I have no case. I have joined in on a class action lawsuit against IAL..I just want my car back and to put this nightmare behind me...I'm tired of driving a Kia lol
